The Derey family can trace their origins in the local district back to the 1650s. Since the late 1980s Domaine Derey has invested in a new cuverie and bottling facilities thus enabling the current generation to control all aspects of the 19 hectares of the estate themselves, from vineyard to bottle.

A great source of some of the lesser known appellations found at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits the estate's red wines with their fruit, charm and personality from some of the most prized vineyards in Marsannay and Fixin out-perform many of their more illustrious neighbours just to the south.
